Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research aims to find out the meaning, function, media of Hindu religious education. Religious education can develop humans to become humanistic (human beings who are humane), whose characteristics can be seen from human efforts to establish interactions or reciprocal relationships as a result of human actions and reactions. To implement the teachings of the religion they adhere to, religious people in Indonesia perform religious worship physically and spiritually, body and soul to God Almighty. The method used is a qualitative approach, with an approach or understanding of a phenomenon. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, literature study, documentation. The technique of determining informants with purposive sampling, with data analysis techniques with data validity testing is tri angulation data. The results of this study are (1) The meaning of Yeh Lesung Temple building structure and palinggih in Yeh Lesung Temple consists of two mandalas (two levels) Main Mandala (Jeroan), Nista Mandala (Jaba side), (2) The function of Yeh Lesung Temple is: (1) Function for Bodily Fulfillment, (2) Function for Psychological Fulfillment, (3) Function for Aesthetic Fulfillment, (4) Function for Social Fulfillment, (5) Function of Community Solidarity, (6) Function of Strengthening Values and Norms, (7) Function of Unifying People and (8) Function of Balance (3) Character Education Media.
