Abstract

ABSTRACT

The Muayon ceremony is a yadnya that has been carried out for generations and is not written down in inscriptions or palm leaves, only based on Dresta or Tatwa. An agreement that has occurred, kuna Dresta (a custom that has been passed down from generation to generation and is followed continuously by old poetry). The Muayon ceremony is carried out as a series of good ceremonies in which offerings are made to oneself with the aim of asking for safety, peace, happiness and prosperity for the entire congregation. The Muayon Ceremony is carried out during the Full Moon of Kapat, however, the Muayon Ceremony takes place when the Full Moon of Kapat is before Tumpek Pengarah (Tumpek Wariga), so the Muayon ceremony is intended in this research. This research aims (1) to analyze how the Muayon Ceremony is carried out in the Cempaga Traditional Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency (2) To analyze the Function of the Muayon Ceremony for the community in the Cempaga Traditional Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency (3) To describe the Ethnopedagogical Value of the Muayon Ceremony in Cempaga Village In the Cempaga Traditional Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency. This research uses several methods, including: determining informants using purposive sampling. Data was collected by observation, interviews and document study by noting several important points, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques which included data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. There are stages in the implementation of the Muayon Ceremony as follows: (a) Preparation stage there is Meeting/Paum, Ngayah Ngudud, (b) Implementation stage there is Padewasaan, Melasti, Mebat/ngebat, Mekeet/mejejaitan, Ngelemek, Penganteb pangastawa, joint prayer, (c) The closing stage of the Muayon Ceremony is joint prayer and Nyineb. The functions of carrying out the Muayon Ceremony include instilling religious values, strengthening a sense of solidarity and togetherness, preserving ancestral traditional culture, fostering moral values, developing creativity and skills. The ethnopedagogical values of the Muayon Ceremony in Cempaga Village include instilling religious values, the value of piety in tradition, the value of togetherness and social solidarity and the value of preserving tradition, respecting the social structure and Muayon ceremony, using relevant learning methods, developing practical skills and knowledge.
