Abstract

The purpose of socialization and mentoring on ecological-based ecotourism mentoring highlights the importance of community empowerment in facing ecological challenges through active participation in disaster mitigation and strengthening local economic resilience. The background of this research is driven by the increasing risk of natural disasters due to climate change and the economic dependence of communities vulnerable to the impacts of disasters. In this context, community-based empowerment is the key to creating a more resilient and independent society. This mentoring uses a participatory educational approach, which focuses on counseling related to the importance of the concept of ecological citizenship in ecotourism management so that community participation can increase in maintaining the environment they manage. The discussion in this study includes the importance of local wisdom-based education and training to increase public awareness of disaster mitigation, as well as sustainable local economic development. In addition, this study also discusses the role of Ecological Citizenship in strengthening social and economic resilience, by integrating sustainability values ​​into local economic development and natural resource management. The conclusion is that Ecological Citizenship is the best practice that can be adopted to increase community capacity in dealing with disasters and building sustainable economic resilience.
