Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore effective learning strategies for Hindu religious education for children with special needs (ABK) at SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar. The research focuses on individual, holistic, and collaborative approaches to ensure that ABK can understand and apply Hindu religious values in their daily lives. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing primary data from observations and interviews with educators, parents, and specialists, as well as secondary data from curriculum documents and national articles. Thematic analysis is used to identify patterns and meanings in the collected data.

The findings reveal that individual learning strategies, such as one-on-one teaching and adaptive media, are crucial for addressing the unique needs of ABK. Holistic approaches integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects, including experiential learning and cultural integration, enhance understanding and engagement. Collaboration among educators, parents, and specialists is essential for designing effective learning programs and overcoming specific challenges, such as emotional or communication barriers.

The results demonstrate that these strategies significantly improve ABK's comprehension of Hindu religious concepts and their participation in religious activities. This study concludes that tailored, inclusive, and collaborative learning strategies are vital for the successful implementation of Hindu religious education for ABK at SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar. The research contributes to the development of inclusive curricula and provides practical insights for educators working with special needs students.
